comparison: movie to book
I am very happy that the movie The Outsiders was very close to the book. Although at some points it strayed from the book and I though that they should have stuck to the plot of the book. also i think that they did not put enough time into focusing at the church they did a couple thing blatantly incorrect A: In the book it states that the church is on a hill in the movie it was in a valley
B: It made it to run down. In the book it says that it was not that bad. by my standers boarded up and cobwebs every were and rabbits living there is not my idea of not that bad.
Now on the positive side all the actors played there character supremely and without flaw. I also thought that the filming was very dramatic and drama is what makes a good movie.
my movie reflection
The idea for the movie when my partner and I were talking about what we should make our movie about. we went through the obvious ideas zombies, giant monsters and ninjas until Mr Terronez said that it had to be about a daily thing.
The hardest part of of the writing process was coming up with the idea and then scale it down to two minutes. After we finished with our idea we still had to write three versions of the script and story board.
Into shooting our movie
One of the biggest challenge was that our star did not where the same thing every day. It kind of made me want to cry. It really amazed me about how bad my movie was because while filming and editing it seemed so good and thought out. I would have liked to storyboard for longer but we ran out of time.
finally we are done now to edit
I feel that editing our movie was the only thing that went really smoothly. The movie matched the script and story board magically so kudos to us. If i were to give a piece of advice to a director I would say simple is better.
